Which Surah is for Peace of Mind?

Sometimes a person’s heart feels very heavy. He feels sad for no reason. He feels tired as soon as he wakes up in the morning. Many thoughts keep coming to his mind and his heart does not find peace. I have also seen such days in my life. Everything seemed fine from the outside, but inside there was fear, anxiety and exhaustion.

There came a time when I started worrying a lot. Then I started giving more time to the Holy Quran. At first I used to just read it quickly, but later I sat quietly and started reading the verses of the Quran carefully. Then I realized that the Quran not only gives guidance but also gives peace to the heart.

Many people ask which Surah should be read for peace of heart. The truth is that the entire Quran gives peace to the heart. But there are some Surahs that people read more because they give a lot of peace to the heart.

In this blog, we will talk about some beautiful Surahs that give peace to the heart.

Why Does the Quran Give Peace to the Heart?

Allah Almighty says in the Quran that the remembrance of Allah brings peace to the hearts.

The Quran is not like ordinary books. Its verses directly affect the heart. Sometimes it seems as if a special verse has been revealed just for us. A person feels that Allah knows his sorrows and never leaves him alone.

I remember one day I was very worried. At night I was sitting quietly and thinking about the future. Then I opened the Quran and started reciting Surah Ad-Duha. When I finished the Surah, tears were in my eyes. I felt as if Allah was giving me hope.

This is the beauty of the Quran.

Surah Ad-Duha. The Surah of Hope and Peace

Surah Ad-Duha is very famous for giving peace to the heart.

This Surah was revealed when the Holy Prophet ﷺ was very sad for some time. Then Allah Almighty comforted him by revealing these beautiful verses.

This Surah teaches us that Allah never leaves us. If today is a difficult time, tomorrow will also be easy.

Whenever I feel sad or tired, I recite Surah Ad-Duha slowly. Its verses soothe the heart.

This Surah teaches us that difficult times do not last forever.

Surah Al-Sharh. After Difficulty, Ease

Surah Al-Sharh is also a very beautiful Surah that soothes the heart.

In this Surah, Allah Almighty says:

“Indeed, with difficulty comes ease.”

Allah Almighty has said this twice.

There was a time when I was very worried. I kept thinking all the time. One night I recited this Surah several times before going to bed. Then I realized that difficulty does not last forever.

This Surah gives a person patience and hope.

Surah Al-Rahman. Remembering the Mercy of Allah

Listening to Surah Al-Rahman gives a strange sense of peace to the heart.

In it, Allah Almighty repeatedly mentions His blessings. This makes a person think about how many blessings Allah has given us.

Sometimes we get so lost in our worries that we forget our blessings. Home, food, health, family and faith are all blessings of Allah.

I once listened to Surah Ar-Rahman at night when I was very worried. My heart felt light after listening to this Surah.

Surah Yaseen. Peace in Difficult Times

Many Muslims recite Surah Yaseen during difficult times.

This Surah reminds us of Allah’s power and teaches us to trust in Allah.

Reciting Surah Yaseen after Fajr or at night brings peace to the heart.

Surah Al-Baqarah. Peace and Blessing in the Home

Surah Al-Baqarah is a very blessed Surah.

Scholars say that reciting this Surah brings peace to the home and removes bad influences.

I myself noticed that when I used to recite Surah Al-Baqarah in my room, the atmosphere seemed more peaceful.

If it is difficult to recite the entire Surah, start reciting it little by little every day.

Ayat Al-Kursi. Protection and Peace

Ayat Al-Kursi is a very powerful verse of the Quran.

Many people read it before going to bed so that the heart can rest and Allah may protect them.

There were many nights when I could not sleep. Then I would read Ayat Al-Kursi and my heart would start to feel peace.
